Kitty Café is a unique establishment that combines a relaxing café experience with the joy of interacting with friendly felines. Designed with both cats and humans in mind, the café features spacious areas filled with kitty toys, comfortable sofas, and armchairs, ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors. The café operates in Nottingham, Leeds, and Birmingham, each offering a slightly different ambiance while maintaining the core mission of providing a haven for cat lovers.
The café serves a variety of freshly prepared food and beverages, including hot and cold drinks, cakes, and a selection of meals. Notably, they offer a meal deal that includes a choice of toastie, a drink, and cake for £12.95, with additional toppings available at extra cost. To accommodate diverse dietary preferences, the menu includes vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. For instance, vegan beverages are available with dairy alternatives such as soya and almond milk.
A distinctive feature of Kitty Café is its role as a cat rescue and re-homing center. Many of the resident cats have been rescued and are available for adoption, allowing visitors the opportunity to meet and potentially welcome a new feline friend into their homes. The café also emphasizes animal welfare by implementing a welfare charge of £8 per adult and £6 per child, which supports the high standards of care provided to the cats.
For families, the café is fully wheelchair accessible and offers changing facilities, making it a family-friendly venue. Additionally, the café provides a kids’ zone with printable games, ensuring that younger visitors have an engaging experience.
To ensure a seamless visit, especially during peak times, it is recommended to book a table in advance. This can be done through the café’s website, where visitors can also find more information about the menu, the resident cats, and the café’s mission.
